Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-06
At Swaptio we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. The platform connects collectors to trade cards; payment and delivery are arranged between users themselves.
1. Data controller
The controller of your data is Swaptio. You can reach us about any privacy matter at [email protected].
2. What data we collect
Data you provide when signing up or using the service: name or nickname, email, approximate location (city/country) to show you nearby listings, and the content you create (cards, collection, listings, messages and ratings).
Technical data generated automatically: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited and cookie identifiers. See the Cookies section.
3. How we use your data
To provide the service: create your account, show listings by proximity, manage your reputation and enable contact between users.
For security: detect fraud, abuse and scams, and protect the platform.
To measure and improve: understand how the site is used and optimize our advertising campaigns (for example, measuring sign-ups that came from an ad).
4. Cookies and measurement technologies
We use first-party cookies necessary for operation (session, language preference) and third-party cookies for measurement and advertising.
In particular we use the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.). The Pixel records actions on the site —such as visiting a page or signing up— to measure the effectiveness of our ads on Facebook and Instagram and to show you relevant advertising. You can disable non-essential cookies from the consent banner or your browser settings.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with providers that help us operate: hosting, search, and advertising and analytics platforms such as Meta. These providers may only process the data under our instructions.
We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect rights, safety and prevent fraud.
6. International transfers
Some providers (such as Meta) may process data outside your country. In those cases we rely on the appropriate safeguards provided by applicable law (for example, standard contractual clauses).
7. How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active and as long as needed to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
8. Your rights
You may request to access, rectify, update, port or delete your data, and object to or restrict certain processing, as well as withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise them, write to us at [email protected].
If you are in the EU/EEA you have GDPR rights; other regions have their own data protection rights. You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country.
9. Minors
The service is not directed to minors under the minimum age required in their country without guardian authorization. If we detect a minor’s account without authorization, we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with its update date and, if the change is significant, notify you.
11. Contact
For any questions about this policy or your data, write to us at [email protected].
