Help & FAQ

Everything you need to trade cards safely on Swaptio. If you can’t find your answer, get in touch.

How does trading work?

Swaptio connects someone offering a card with someone looking for it. You search the catalog, see who lists it near you, and open a chat or make an offer.

Price is agreed through offers and counteroffers within the platform. When both sides accept, you coordinate payment and delivery directly between yourselves.

Does Swaptio charge a fee or process payments?

No. Swaptio does not process payments nor hold cards in custody: it is a peer-to-peer marketplace. Payment and shipping are arranged and carried out between users themselves.

How do I trade safely?

Never pay in advance through unsafe channels or to users without reputation. Prefer payment methods with buyer protection.

Check the other party’s reputation (reviews and completed deals). Keep the conversation on the platform: we automatically detect suspicious messages and warn you if something looks like a scam.

How is shipping handled?

Shipping is coordinated by the users. For valuable cards, we recommend tracked and, where appropriate, insured shipping. Pack the card protectively (toploader or similar) to avoid damage in transit.

If you are nearby, many users prefer in-person handoff in a public place.

What if there’s a problem or a dispute?

First, try to resolve it with the other party via chat. If you can’t reach an agreement, you can report the user or listing from the platform.

The ratings left after each transaction help the whole community avoid problematic users.

How is a card’s price calculated?

We show reference prices from active listings and real completed sales on the platform. We do not make up prices: if there isn’t enough data, no reference is shown.

How do I delete my account?

From your profile, in the "Delete account" section. Deletion anonymizes your personal data; certain historical transaction information is retained for integrity (see the Privacy Policy).
